Movie Review: Minions (2015)

Well, well, well, Here I am after months not talking about movies. And now I want to talk about the mega-wide-beloved MINIONS. They are called minions, but most likely we are their minions. We adore them, love them, wants to do anything for them (look at how we queued for the tickets and merchandise). Are they worth all the attention? The answer is YES! They're not fluffy, they're tend to look ugly, but they are loved! AND NOT TO MENTION SUPER CUTE (I'm talking about you, Bob)

And how about their newest attempt to find an evil master and conquer the world at Minions (2015)? Well, super cute! Duh! But what about the story line and other aspects about the movie? Again, super cute! But what about the value that we can take from taking our children to watch this movie? Again, Minions are super cute, children will beg for their toys. So I can say that those little yellow creatures are success at their planning on taking over the world.

Let's introduce our heroes. First, meet Kevin, the ambitious (a little) taller minion who wants to search for a new evil master for his tribe, since their previous master(s) are all killed by (stupid yet funny) accidents by minions. Kevin is a natural born leader.

Then, met Stuart whose got no idea what he was chosen for. At least he enjoyed the crowds and cheers. Oh, he loves music and especially guitar (ukulele in minions). Born with star syndrome, oh little Stuart. He's the most easy-going minions between the three.

Last but not least, met Bob! Super cute little Bob! He's positioning himself as the youngest and the cutest and the awwwwww-est of the group. Bob always brings his favorite doll named Tim every-single-time. He's the source of problem, but we can totally forgive him right?!

Let's not forget about our one and only easily forgotten main villain of the movie, Scarlet Overkill. I preferably liked Count Dracula more as the minions' master, but we shall look unto Scarlet Overkill.
She's the first woman super villain ever, since it was not an era yet for Catwoman or Poison Ivy. Scarlet loves to wear dresses that made by her husband, Herb (I know, that kind of name is that). And the dresses are always overwhelming with so much shades (weapons) under it, it can even made her fly or shooting nuclear bombs.

So the movie ended happy, with minions finally find their everlasting master (GRU). And everybody went out the studio happy. The end.

The conclusion, the movie is not as funny as the predecessors before. The minions are really adorable, but they alone cannot grasp the funniness that has been on the previous movies. Practically, they told all the funny things on the trailer. Next time I wouldn't watch any trailers! I didn't laugh as much and as happy as I watched Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2. And now Illumination Entertainment announced The Secret Life of Pets, I will not be as curious as before. But still, gonna watch it when the movie released (for the sake of the rocker poodle!)

7.0/10.0 for Minions! Thanks to you Bob, I mean King Bob.

And I might going to review for Jurassic World as well. If the time fit. I mean, Raptors and T-Rex are now heroes!
